I have seen a drastic improvement in all my animals health since switching them to a chemical free and healthy natural diet.
All the dog foods chosen here are specifically high quality, natural, human grade and made to superior standards than is required. These companies have excellent philosophies on dog health, nurture, diet, nutrition and care.

Hi Adrianne:
Thanks for visiting –
Castor and Pollux make the ORGANIX brand pet foods and are an excellent company, listing lots of organic ingredients, with no chemical preservatives, colorings, and all the crap most pet foods contain.
It is one of my top favorites and I would certainly feed this to my girls, and recommend it for anyone looking for a high quality premium organic dog food.
Allergies are more prevanlant today due to the unnecessary fillers and chemicals that we feed our dogs.
Checking on the manufacturers website, through google, and looking at the ingredient list is the best way to educate yourself and find the best for your pets.
Kudos to you about “professional advice”, as I certainly don’t trust them either. Even my vet seems misinformed, although he is excellent medically. Most vet schools don’t spend time on nutrition when it comes to out pets. – that’s why I started this in the first place.
Homemade, though tedious, is absolutely the best way to know exactly what your pet is eating, but then you have all the extra worries about regulating their vitamin, supplement and mineral intake. That can be tricky – There are lots of excellent books available on the subject. Too bad we have been brainwashed by the big corporations that their way is the only way.
Glad to see you do your own investigating and care enough for your pets to not want them to suffer.
Jane
Have you heard of “Organix”? If so, what is your opinion on their food/treats/etc. I’m always looking for the best foods to feed my dogs, mainly because in the past I’ve found myself disappointed with multiple brands who claimed this and that but wound up causing scary adverse reactions in dogs or just simply hiding facts from consumers. For instance, I read on multiple sites that Canidae was manufactured in a facility owned by Diamond foods, one of the major recalled brands from a year or two ago (major lawsuit!).
I’ve found the very best way to determine what foods you should try on your pet is by googling the food’s name along with “reviews”. I almost never follow professional reviews, unless it has to do with ingredient content. By seeing what CONSUMERS have to say, I’ve been able to figure out why my dogs have certain reactions (to certain brands) or how other’s dogs reacted. This ranges from increases in health to strange reactions such as itching to emergency vet visits as the result of “healthy, organic, pure” foods!
