SUSIE’S STORY
This is my sweet, sweet little beagle girl, Sue. She was 10 years old when she died, and had multiple diseases.
CANCER is what ultimately killed her, but she also had a thyroid that didn’t work, and was on thyroid pills her whole life. She also had mild epilepsy and seizures. She had so many different major medical problems throughout her life, and I tried many expensive vet approved remedies.
Having access or first hand knowledge of vet care at home would have saved me a lot of money, but the more important thing is I am 100% convinced that I could have given Susie a longer and healthier life.
I saved her from a horrible puppy mill, at the age of six months, and she was the most heartbreaking picture of neglect I have to this day ever seen.
She had a good life with me here, and was treated like a little princess.
Because of Susie’s multiple diseases and illnesses and her untimely death, and the pet food contamination and recall all happening within the same year, I began reading and ultimately advocating feeding healthy natural homemade or organic dog food.
I truly believe Susie would have lived to her full potential of an additional 5 to 8 years if I hadn’t fed her the crappy, low grade commercial dog food that I thought was good for her.
I didn’t have the knowledge yet of what I was really serving to Susie, and as with most others believed that I was making the best choice available.

CANINE CANCER DIET – HOMEMADE RECIPE FROM DR. JONES. Homemade Cancer Diet for Dogs (and Cats)
**OR SIMPLY REPLACE WITH DR. JONES’ CANINE SUPPLEMENT. Cook the rice with salt substitute added to the water. Cook the ground beef and drain the fat. Cook the liver and dice or finely chop into small pieces. Pulverize the calcium carbonate and vitamin/mineral tablets. Mix the vegetable oil, fish oil (break open capsules) and supplements with the rice and then add the cooked ground beef and liver. Mix well, cover and refrigerate. Feed approximately one-quarter of this mixture each day to a 10 pound dog or cat. Palatability will be increased if the daily portion is heated to approximately body temperature (Caution: when using microwave, avoid “hot spots,” which can burn the mouth). For cats the same recipe can be used but add *Taurine, a supplement available at health food stores. The Dose is 500mg per day. |
