Watdh out for BLUE BUFFALO which is listed on other sites as suddenly causing a lot of illness in dogs. Apparenly the company was just sold to P&G so they might have changed the ingrediants to save a buck and not changed their packaging yet

First of all, congrats on switching off of Science Diet, which is on mine (and many others) lists of worst dog food manufacturer. SEE MY TOP 7 WORST DOG FOODS HERE.
I prefer to recommend grain free commercial dog food. Nature’s Select first ingredient is chicken meal (a meat concentrate), which is good, but no other protein. Most high end commercial foods have more than one protein source.
It seems to contain a lot of carbs/starch/fillers (Rice, Barley, Oatmeal and Millet) listed as ingredients 2, 3, 4, and 5.
It doesn’t contain any of the immediately harmful ingredients that are in the cheaper dog foods, as I have listed here.
It has an excellent amount of glucosamine which would be an ideal for larger dogs with joint concerns.
Overall not a dangerous food, with many good qualities.
Not one I would choose personally for my two girls (I use them as my standard), but considering how much crap is out there I would put this product as a mid range contender.
Please remember I am just a dog lover, (although well read and self taught), not a professional.
Showing love and taking care of your pets as best as you can counts for a lot.
If you can afford to upgrade I would suggest it, but if this is not possible, then Nature’s Select it should stay.
